KT leads Dance Film intensive at Strictly Seattle

KT offers a 3-week immersion into dance filmmaking during Velocity Dance Center’s Strictly Seattle. The workshop, Frame by Frame, brings film experts together to lead students through the creation of a film from inception to premiere.

KT reached out to talented industry artists to contribute their expertise to the workshop:

Cinematographer: Tracy Nystrom

Tracy Nystrom is a Seattle-based, cinematographer and visual artist who specializes in producing action/adventure content. He has over eight years of cinematic experience, works with many of the best and brightest creatives in the film, photographic, and visual industries today, employs cutting edge technology, and utilizes an in-depth professional knowledge of the visual creation process to make sure that ideas come to life in the visually striking manner each project deserves. Director/Cinematographer: Sebastien Scandiuzzi

Sebastien Scandiuzzi brings nearly 20 years of commercial and film production experience to Pressing Pictures as a producer, director and cinematographer. Sebastien’s work as Director of Photography can be seen in films such as: SPIN – A short psychological thriller,Sad City, Rain Beats Down, 14/48: The World’s Quickest Theater Festival and many more. Sebastien is a regular contributor to ARTZone featured on KCTS 9, Fretboard Films, and SIFF TV where he had the opportunity to shoot and direct interviews with such talents as Lynn Shelton, Megan Griffiths, Ezra Dickenson, Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Stephan Gruber, Ben Gibbard, Mike Cooley, John Roderick, Bill Frisell and many more. Previous to his work with Pressing Pictures, Sebastien was the Director of Production for IndieFlix – an online independent film distribution network where he helped thousands of filmmakers distribute their films to the public.

Composer: BC Campbell

BC Campbell is a Seattle composer, songwriter and producer focused on composing for film. Since 2012, BC’s work has been presented in national and international film festivals including the Seattle International Film Festival, Sonoma International Film Festival, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, as well as at The Festival Ciné Alter’Natif in Paris, Corti da Sogni in Ravenna, Italy, the Plymouth Film Festival in England, The Smithsonian in DC and NYC, Durango Film Festival, Stony Brook Film Festival, Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival, Southwest American Indian Arts Market, and Seattle’s Local Sightings Film Festival. He will be scoring the upcoming feature film Clearwater, which is in development with the TriBeca Film Institute. His compositions for contemporary dance, theater and performance have been presented in Seattle by On the Boards, Intiman Theater, Cornish College for the Arts, Velocity, and other major music venues. He is a sought after session player on guitar, piano and vocals. He spent his twenties touring the country, recording as a singer/songwriter and playing in various indie bands. Currently, he plays piano with Shannon Stephens (Asthmatic Kitty Records, NYC) and Olivia de la Cruz (Greenleaf Records). BC grew up playing jazz in big bands in Portland Oregon, where he had the honor of being mentored by ‘old timers’ who had created with Billy Holiday.
